Accessing your pharmacy benefits is easy. All you have to do is show the pharmacy staff your gray CONNECT Card. If you do not have your gray CONNECT card, you can either give the pharmacy your client identification number or your Social Security Number and date of birth.

If you need to replace your CONNECT card, call 1-877-284-8759 during the hours of 8:00 to 5:00 and press option #1.

Most drugs that need a prescription are covered. If you have questions about your HUSKY Pharmacy Benefit, you can get answers by: The Pharmacy Benefits Customer Center will: Covered Drugs

HUSKY doctors must prescribe generic drugs when they are available. If the doctor believes you need a brand name drug that does have a generic available, they can ask for special permission. There are certain drugs, called preferred drugs that your doctor must prescribe. Your doctor will need special permission to prescribe a non-preferred drug.

You cannot get a refill on your medicine until you have used 93% of your prescription. Sometimes, depending on your health, your doctor can ask for special permission for you to get your refill sooner. Your medicines are filled by pharmacies that are enrolled in the CT Medical Assistance Programs. If you will be traveling out of state, let your pharmacy know. They will ask for early refills so you have enough medicine while you are out of the state.

The Pharmacy Benefit does not cover the following types of drugs. HUSKY A,C, and D members do not have to pay for their medications.
